Blake's Bundles — Making Memories with Hair that Last

Blake’s Bundles · The care edit

A little hair love.
For all your moments.

Your Raw Straight and Raw Wavy bundles deserve a gentle routine. Here’s how to wash, care for and put them away, so you can help keep them looking and feeling their best.

01 / Wash day

Clean hair, a gentle touch.

Wash when you notice product build-up, dullness or after swimming—not to a rigid calendar. These steps are for loose bundles; once installed, follow your stylist’s advice for your attachment method and scalp care.

  1. 01

    Detangle first

Support the hair near the weft and gently work through the ends with a wide-tooth comb. Move upwards in small sections rather than pulling through knots. Never tug at the stitching.

  2. 02

    Wash gently

Use lukewarm water and a mild shampoo suitable for human-hair extensions. Keep the hair flowing in one direction, from weft to ends. Smooth the shampoo through; don’t rub, twist or pile the hair together. Rinse thoroughly.

  3. 03

    Condition the lengths

Apply a moisturising conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends, keeping it away from attachment points. Follow the product’s timing instructions. Gently ease out tangles while the conditioner provides slip, then rinse well.

  4. 04

    Dry with patience

Press out excess water with a soft towel—no wringing or rough rubbing. Lay loose bundles on a clean towel or hang them with the weft supported, keeping the lengths untangled. Let the hair and wefts dry completely before storing.

Before your first install: gently wash and fully dry the bundles so you can get to know their natural texture. Ask your stylist before cutting wefts or applying any treatments.

02 / Know your texture

Same love. A slightly different routine.

Raw Straight

  • Gently comb from the ends upwards, supporting the weft as you go.
  • Let the lengths fall smoothly as they dry. Avoid twisting them into a tight towel wrap.
  • For a sleeker finish, use heat protectant and the lowest effective tool setting on fully dry hair. Keep repeated passes to a minimum.
  • If the ends feel dry, use a small amount of lightweight serum on the ends only. More product isn’t always more care.

Raw Wavy

  • Detangle gently with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, ideally while damp with conditioner for slip.
  • After rinsing, gently scrunch the lengths and air-dry with minimal handling to encourage the natural wave.
  • Avoid repeated dry brushing if you want defined waves; it can separate the pattern and create a fluffier finish.
  • To refresh, lightly mist the lengths with water, smooth with your fingers and scrunch. Let them dry before tying up or storing. Frequent straightening can alter the wave pattern.

03 / Between wash days

Little habits that help.

Less build-up

Keep products light. Heavy oils, waxes and layers of styling product can weigh down the hair. Add a little at a time and wash out build-up gently.

Less heat & tension

Choose heat-free styling when you can. Use heat protectant when you do style, never use hot tools on damp hair, and avoid tight styles that pull at the wefts or your own hair.

Extra care on holiday

Before swimming, wet the lengths with fresh water and secure them loosely. Rinse promptly afterwards, then wash and condition. Salt and chlorine can be drying; keep attachment points properly dried.

04 / Rest & store

Put your hair to bed.

When you’re wearing it

Never go to bed with wet hair or damp attachment points. Loosely braid Raw Wavy lengths, or gently wrap Raw Straight hair without pulling at the roots. A satin or silk bonnet or pillowcase can help reduce friction overnight.

Between installs

Clean, detangle and fully dry the bundles—including the wefts. Keep each bundle separate, with the lengths smooth or loosely braided for wavy hair. Place in a clean satin or silk bag in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight. Never seal damp hair in a bag or compress it tightly.

A final little reminder.

Gentle care supports longevity, but there’s no fixed lifespan: wear, installation, styling and chemical treatments all make a difference. Leave colouring, bleaching and weft alterations to an experienced extension stylist. If you notice persistent matting, unusual shedding or scalp discomfort, pause styling and speak to your stylist rather than pulling or adding more product.
